Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak was grilled for almost four hours by the MACC today, after arriving at its headquarters in Putrajaya at about 9:20am this morning.

Some media reports say the former Prime Minister was questioned over the solar power panels project in Sarawak, while other sources claim he was questioned over the Scorpene submarine deal.

Vigneswaran looks to sue Anthony Loke after KLIA VIP lane incident

The Dewan Negara President wants to sue the Transport Minister for accusing him of breaching security protocols while using the VIP lane at KLIA.

Tan Sri S.A. Vigneswaran feels that he was defamed, adding his family members were ridiculed on social media following the incident.

Meanwhile, Minister Anthony Loke says he will leave it to the police to investigate the matter.

Minister under fire for "racist" comments

Two petitions have been filed on change.org, against National Unity and Social Well-being Minister P. Waytha Moorthy, demanding him to be sacked.

One petition by Gerakan Pengundi Sedar has garnered over 100,000 signatures, while a petition by Pendukung Perlembagaan has received more than 24,000 signatures.

Earlier, Opposition MPs called Waytha Moorthy a racist minister in parliament, when he was replying a question on the International Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Racial Discrimination, ICERD.

Wee Ka Siong says an UMNO-PAS merger goes against BN's spirit

MCA will decide next month at its annual general assembly whether to stay in Barisan Nasional.

This, after UMNO President Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi said that UMNO and PAS are set to set up a special committee very soon. 

MCA President Wee Ka Siong says an UMNO-PAS merger will go against the spirit of BN.

Earlier, Zahid said the UMNO-PAS committee would implement social programmes involving the two Malay parties.

Bids for special licence plates to be done online

The government will not cap the price for the sale of special vehicle registration numbers, because it makes good money for the goverment. 

The Transport Minister says for example the sale of the 'Malaysia' series of registration numbers, earned the government RM13 mil. 

Meanwhile, Anthony Loke says bids for the special number plates will be done online to ensure better transparency in the process.

The Ministry is currently looking at ways to enhance the system, which is expected to be launched early next year.
