Smoking Ban To Include Vape And Shisha
Vape and shisha containing nicotine are included in next year's smoking ban!
The Health Minister says enforcement officers will take action against those vaping and using shisha, as long as they contain nicotine.

The smoking ban will be enforced at all restaurants from 1st January next year, with offenders facing a 10,000 ringgit fine.
Government Wants Civil Servants To Separate Politics From Work
The government is considering limiting the participation of civil servants in politics to ensure they can carry out their official duties without bias.

The PM says this is especially important for officers appointed to work directly for ministers.
However, civil servants who do not have the power to make crucial decisions could be allowed to be involved in politics.

Ministries will no longer be allowed to indulge in so-called "Christmas Shopping", thanks to a newly implemented zero-based budget system.
The Finance Minister said ministries tend to rush to finish up allocations before the year ends, but this is not encouraged.
As such, each ministry will now have to justify each expense and state how much it costs, to avoid splurging.
