Court declares Cameron Highlands seat vacant

Yet another by-election could happen in the country, this time in Cameron Highlands. 

This, after the KL High Court stripped MIC vice-president C Sivarrajh of the parliamentary seat, citing corrupt practices that led to his win in GE14 

Sivarrajh has 2 weeks to appeal the decision. 

42 people arrested over Sri Maha Mariamman temple violence

A total of 42 people have been arrested over the Sri Maha Mariamman temple violence in Subang Jaya

IGP Tan Sri Fuzi Harun says the operation to track down those involved in the incident is still ongoing.

He adds that the situation at the temple is almost back to normal, despite the presence of several people who gathered at the area yesterday.

The IGP adds that the police are doing their best in assuring the public safety.

Firefighter regains consciousness

The firefighter who was severely injured in the temple violence has woken from his medically-induced coma.

IJN says the 24-year-old's condition is encouraging.
