DAP to field a candidate in the upcoming Cameron Highlands by-election

DAP will field a candidate in the upcoming Cameron Highlands by-election as it is the party's traditional seat.

This, after the KL High Court stripped MIC vice-president C Sivarrajh of the parliamentary seat, citing corrupt practices that led to his win in GE14 

Earlier, PH chairman Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad says it is too early to decide who will contest the Cameron Highlands parliamentary seat.

Meanwhile, Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi says BN will appeal to the court's decision.

School students to wear black shoes and socks by 2021

From 2021, all school shoes and socks must be in black.

The Education Ministry adds that the shoes must be made from canvas or synthetic material such as nylon and polyester which are highly-­absorbent and breathable. 

It says the ruling is for primary and secondary students in government schools.

Perak considers limiting operation hours of entertainment outlets to 1am

Perak will study the idea to limit the operations hours of all entertainment centres in the state to 1 am every day. 

It says it will discuss with the local authorities before the implementation.

This, comes after the Federal Territories Ministry said starting next year, entertainment outlets in the KL city centre will no longer be allowed to operate past 1am.
