1MDB scandal to be included in school syllabus

Kids Will Soon Learn about 1MDB in Schools
The Education Ministry will form a comittee to review and improve the school curriculum, particularly history textbooks.
Its Minister Dr Maszlee Malik says this is to ensure that what our kids are taught in school is fair and balanced, and not influenced by propoganda.
He also said that the 1MDB scandal will eventually be included in the history syllabus for students nationwide.
He adds that this is to ensure that such a scandal will never happen again.

Extreme Laws only for Extreme Cases
The government has assured that restrictive laws, like POCA, SOSMA and the Sedition Act will be ONLY be used in exceptional cases, to preserve national security, public order and race relations.
This, after the Cabinet decided to lift a moratorium on the use of such laws, following the violence at the Sri Maha Mariamman Temple in Subang Jaya last week,
Meanwhile, authorities say 68 people are now in custody over the temple violence.

Health Warning: Don't Drink from Recycled Tin Cans
The Health Ministry has warned of risks including diabetes and the sharp metal edges cutting the face, while the tin could cause food poisoning if it is dirty or rusty.
