Urban Transformation Centres will have new operating hours starting next year.

All Urban Transformation Centres or UTC's nationwide will have new operating hours starting next year.

They will no longer close at 10pm, and will instead operate from 8am to 7pm, with a 2-and-a-half hour break for Friday prayers. 

The UTC's however will continue to open seven days a week, closing only for state or federal public holidays.

The Health Ministry will be sending a team to Sarawak next month, to resolve the rabies outbreak in the state.

The team will meet and collaborate with the state government, to resolve the issue as quickly as possible. 

There have so far been 16 rabies cases involving 15 fatalities, since the outbreak was first detected there last June.
