Ron95 could become cheaper

Ron 95 petrol could become cheaper starting next week due to the current drop in global crude oil prices. 

The Finance MInistry says this, due to implementation of the weekly managed-float system for fuel, which starts on January 1st. 

But IF world oil prices increase weekly, any fuel price increase will be capped to RM2.20 per litre for RON95 and RM2.18 for diesel.

4 charged over transgender murder

4 people, including 2 teenage boys, have been charged with murdering a transgender person, who was beaten to death in Klang two weeks ago.

The victim was assaulted, for allegedly stealing a phone from one of the suspects' .

A fifth suspect, who is still at large, was charged in absentia.

Police liaison officers will be placed at temples and churches in Johor to help eliminate crime at houses of worships.

The Johor police chief says they will be similar to the liaison officers who are now placed at mosques and schools in the state.

Sunda Strait Tsunami: Malaysia is ready to help Indonesia

Malaysia is ready to help Indonesia, particularly in search and rescue activities, following Saturday's tsunami along the Sunda Strait.

This, as the death toll had risen to at least 281, with some 1,000 injured.

The National Disaster Management Agency says Indonesia has yet to accept any international aid saying its local response and assistance is sufficient at the moment.
