BERSATU Has No Place For Corrupt Party-Hoppers

BERSATU will only welcome former Umno members who add value to the party.

Its president Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin says any newcomers from UMNO will be vetted to ensure they are not corrupt and have a clean record.

He adds that Bersatu has yet to give the green light to ex-UMNO leaders who had recently applied to join the party, including former Melaka chief minister Tan Sri Abdul Rahim Tamby Chik.

Deadly Egypt blast

At least four people have died while 12 others were injured after a roadside bomb exploded near a bus carrying tourists close to the pyramids in Giza, Egypt.

Officials say three of the dead were Vietnamese and one was an Egyptian tour guide.

However, there were no immediate claims of responsibility for the attack.

Starting next year, all trishaw riders in Melaka will have to play ‘Dondang Sayang’ songs as entertainment for their customers.

The state Chief Minister says the move is to promote the genre to tourists, in conjunction with Visit Melaka Year 2019.
