The police have warned M'sians against using a 3rd party or agent to settle their traffic summonses for safety reasons.

Bukit Aman says some people find their names still in the offenders database even after paying an agent, hinting at dishonest practices. 

Meanwhile, the police have only managed to collect 40 percent of the 5.5 million summonses issued nationwide, despite the 50 percent discount offered by select police stations.

As such, the company will increase security along the Sungai Buloh - Kajang route and install fences. 

The statement cames after a man was arrested for allegedly trying to steal a cable near the Damansara City Centre 2 days ago.

The incident disrupted MRT services for a while.

And, a tribunal to investigate allegations of misconduct by former Election Commission members in the run-up to GE14 will meet next Monday. 

The tribunal is made up of 5 retired Federal Court judges.
