30 left homeless after fire at Bangsar railway quarters

At least 30 people in Bangsar, KL were left homeless after the KTMB quarters they were staying in was burnt to the ground today.
The Fire and Rescue Department says there were no casualities, but 11 cars and six motorcycles were damaged in the blaze.
It adds that the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
Meanwhile, KTMB says it will distribute RM3,000 to each victim as early financial aid.

KKM launches B40 healthcare scheme

Malaysians above the age of 50 are set to enjoy four benefits under the PeKa B40, a healthchare protection scheme initiated by the Health Ministry.
The benefits are free health screening and medical equipment, incentives to complete cancer treatments, and transport incentives.
Recipients can check on their eligibility for the scheme via PeKa B40 website, which will be made available starting March.
Meanwhile, the mySalam health scheme is for Bantuan Sara Hidup recipients between the age of 18 and 55.

Fuzi promises action against cops who violate smoking ban

PDRM will take appropriate action against police officers who violate the smoking ban at restaurants.
This, after a video featuring a cop smoking in a non-smoking area went viral on social media.
The IGP says a directive has been given to the head of department in question to identify the officer, in order for action to be taken.
