No plans to make vaccinations compulsory for schoolkids

The Education Ministry has no plans to make vaccinations compulsory for schoolkids. 

It says this is in line with its aim to make education acccessible to all children. 

Minister Mazslee Malik said barring a child from school because he or she is not immunised would be akin to a human rights violation. 

But he did not address the concern of children being infected by their unvaccinated peers. 

Good news for commuters - security at MRTs is about to get even tighter

KL police will be meeting MRT soon to discuss raising the level of security at stations, including increasing the number of CCTV cameras. 

Mobile and motorcycle patrol units will also be present at stations.

This follows the case of a woman who was viciously attacked and robbed at the Taman Mutiara MRT station in Cheras last month.
