Shoppers in Penang may have to pay more for plastic bags soon!
The state government is planning to increase the charge of plastic bags from the 20 sen currently, to 50 sen.
This, after it found that the 20 sen charge had little impact on reducing its demand for plastic bags.
However, the proposal is still in discussion and requires approval from various parties.
Prototype of flying vehicle to be ready by year end

A working prototype of the flying vehicle is expected to be ready by the end of the year.
The Malaysian company behind the project says the prototype will cost about 500 thousand ringgit, which it will fund by itself.
The company adds that it is aware that some Malaysians felt let down by the scale model, which was revealed at the LIMA exhibition in Langkawi.
It clarified that it's actually based on drone technology, and it's not designed to be driven on the roads like a normal car.
Govt to consider raising age eligibility limit for MySalam health protection scheme

The government is considering to raise the age eligibility limit for the mySalam national health protection scheme.
This is to ensure people older than 55 years of age will be able to benefit from this.
Currently, the beneficiaries are from the lower income group, B40 aged between 18 and 55 years.
