Vietnamese woman in Kim Jong Nam trial may walk free in May

The Vietnamese woman who was jailed for the killing of North Korean Kim Jong Nam could soon walk free!

This, after she pleaded guilty to an alternative, lesser charge of voluntarily causing hurt by dangerous weapons or means, and was jailed for three years and four months.

Her sentence starts from the date of her arrest, in February 2017, and along with the usual sentence reductions, means that she could be released by as early as next month. 

The woman, and an Indonesian national were initially charged with murdering the estranged brother of North Korea's leader at KLIA 2, using a toxic nerve agent.

The Indonesian woman had her charges dropped last month, without any explanation.

Proposal to lower the voting age will be brought up in the next Parliament meeting

A proposal to amend the Constitution to lower the voting age to from 21 to 18 years will be brought up in the next Parliamentary meeting.

The Youth and Sports Ministersays he will table the proposal for debate in June and July.

Lowering the voting age was part of Pakatan Harapan's manfifesto for GE14. 

The move will put Msia in line with other countries including the US, UK, India, Indonesia, and the Philippines.

Dead body found in front of a school in Puchong

A dead body, covered under layers of plastic and a blanket, was found by cleaners in front of a school in Puchong this morning.

Police say the body was that of an adult but they've yet to determine the gender.

They're waiting for a post-mortem report and urged those with info to come forward.
