Rosmah claims trial to new graft charge in solar hybrid project case

Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor has claimed trial to accepting a bribe over the solar hybrid power projects for rural schools in Sarawak.

She was accused of soliciting RM5 mil for the award of the project in 2016 - the latest charge against her over the issue.

Separately, the Federal Court has dismissed 3 appeals by Datuk Seri Najib Razak related to his SRC International trial.

This includes his bid to issue a gag order, preventing the media from discussing the trial's merits. 

The decision paves the way for the trial to begin in the KL High Court next Monday.

Govt finalising best method to implement fuel subisidy

The government is finalising the best method to implement the targeted fuel subsidy, to prevent chaos on the day it is implemented.

It says it is considering two options, either banking in the subsidy to the accounts of elegible recipients or to  introduce a petrol subsidy card.

It explained that the govt has asked several banks to help open accounts for those in the lower income group living in rural areas.

Police investigating if driver in fatal bus crash in Sepang was racing with another bus

Police are investigating whether the bus driver involved in a fatal crash near KLIA had been racing with another bus.

This, based on a statement recorded by one of the survivors of the crash. 

Police also believe that the bus was being driven at high speed at the time of the crash.

The bus had crashed into a monsoon drain, killing 12 people including the driver.
