Fugee Island, perhaps?

Apr 18, 2019

Sabah wants to create a refugee island!

The Chief Minister says the island will house a relocation centre mainly meant for refugees from the Philippines, in case a war breaks out.

Datuk Seri Mohd Shafie Apdal adds it will be located far from the mainland and be closer to its border with the Philippines.

The concept will be similar to Pulau Bidong in Terengganu, which housed tens of thousands of Vietnamese refugees between 1978 and 1991.

Najib still wants his trial LIVE on TV!

Former Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak has reiterated calls for his trial to be broadcast LIVE after he lost his cool at a police officer yesterday.

Najib was leaving the KL Court Complex after the fourth day of his corruption trial when a civilian grabbed hold of him, asking why he wasn't allowed to watch the trial.

Najib then yelled at the police officer who tried to pull the man off, but later apologised.

Later, he went on Facebook to reiterate his trial should be telecast LIVE, or at least watchable on Facebook LIVE or YouTube.
