It's time for Pakatan Harapan to step up

May 10, 2019

Pakatan Harapan came to power on the back on many lofty promises in GE14, and assurances that they will do things better than the previous administration.

However, they've struggled to match the people's expectations, with many Malaysians feeling that underperformed in their first year in government.

Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad felt the same, giving his Cabinet ministers a rating of 5 out of 10.

KRA Group founder, Karim Raslan believes, some PH leaders may have lost the spirit that they had during GE14.

"They should be saying, this is a great country, this country has a great future, you have done an amazing job to have voted us all in, now we must take it forward, now we must make sure, you are better educated, that we can get better jobs and that we can compete more globally."

Karim also believes that PH should bring back the spirit of unity for the future of Malaysia.

Separately, he feels that Tun M should still be involved in the government, even after he hands the reigns to Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, similar to the role that Lee Kwan Yew had after he stepped down as Singapore's Prime Minister.

Earlier, Tun M hinted that he'll stay on as PM for a maximum of 3 years.

'Malaysia Baru' turned one yesterday.
