May 18, 2019

The Youth and Sports Minister says he is against any plan to potentially blacklist PTPTN loan defaulters from travelling.

Syed Saddiq says he will challenge any such proposal brought to the Cabinet.

He explained that the travel ban will only add undue pressure on fresh graduates earning low incomes.

The Minister was commenting on calls to reintroduce the travel ban for loan defaulters, if the majority of people are in favour of it.

Meanwhile, PTPTN has launched an online survey, which will run until June 13 to get feedback on its study loan repayment scheme.

Police are trying to establish the relationships between the Serdang Hospital nurse and the 3 suspects arrested over her murder.

The cops have taken a statement from the owner of the house, which the victim was renting in Cyberjaya.

Earlier, police say the suspects, all foreigners, knew each other.

The victim was found dead in a condo in Cyberjaya, a week after she went missing.

Selangor police are investigating a former aide's claim that she was repeatedly sexually harrased by a Perak PKR MP.

The woman alleged that the incident has been going on for 5 months since December last year.

Also, according to Malaysiakini, the MP himself has filed a police report, claiming that he was mentally tortured by the former aide.

It says this will only happened if ticket sales reach 85 to 90 percent.

So far, 65 percent of over half a million train tickets have been sold.
