Ramkarpal: Let kids express their views

Ramkarpal Singh is happy the Education Ministry decided not to take action against 11 Tamil school students in Penang for participating in a climate crisis protest.
The Bukit Gelugor MP said children should be allowed to express their views, even if it's against the government.
He adds, the uproar over the protest should never have happened, as there was no evidence the kids were being exploited.

Anwar weighs in on Latheefa Koya appointment
The debate of Latheefa Koya's appointment as MACC chief is heating up, with Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim also giving his two cents.
The PKR president said while Latheefa is qualifed, the Prime Minister has to clarify why the Cabinet was not informed of the appointment beforehand.
Meanwhile, Bukit Gelugor MP Ramkarpal Singh said while the MACC Act provides for the King to make an appointment on the advice of the Prime Minister, he's disapppointed the Cabinet was not consulted, adding the unilateral appointment is against the Pakatan promise of transparency.
Tun M had earlier admitted he did not consult the Cabinet, but assured he had input from several other sources.

Hulu Langat, KL and Petaling brace for water cut
Water disruption is headed for Hulu Langat, KL and Petaling because of a huge clog caused by rubbish.
Air Selangor said heavy rain upstream carried rubbish to the Sungai Langat water treatment plant, and clogged the filtration system.
The water authority started clearing the rubbish last night.
