Haziq Aziz suspended

Jun 13, 2019

Haziq Aziz, who was involved in an intimate video that shocked the nation recently, has been suspended as an official in the Primary Industries Ministry with immediate effect.

Its Deputy Minister Datuk Seri Shamsul Iskandar says the Ministry had demanded Haziq to respond to a show-cause letter within three days.

"The Ministry will not hesitate to terminate Haziq's contract, if he doesn't respond within the time we've given him."

This was after Haziq confessed to being involved in the video.

Meanwhile, the IGP says the police have opened investigation papers over the matter, adding that they may call up individuals involved in the case to assist investigations.
