Viral schoolgirl caning incident in JB settled

The viral caning incident in Johor, where a female student was caned by a male teacher, has been resolved.

This, was after all the parties involved in the issue apologised to each other.

Yesterday, the girl's mother withdrew her police report against a teacher, after earlier accusing him of caning her daughter until she had red welts on her arms and legs.

Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi has amassed the most criminal charges among prominent individuals from the BN era.

This was after he claimed trial to 33 charged of bribery over a foreign visa system, to bring the total charges he's facing to 87.

The previous record was held by former Sabah Chief Minister Tan Sri Musa Aman, who is facing 51 charges.

Alternative learning material for Pasir Gudang students

The Johor Education Department has come up with contingency plans, to help the students affected by the pollution in Pasir Gudang continue their studies. 

It says there are alternative learning materials, which can be accessed online, and even via Whatsapp and Telegram.

It comes after all schools and higher learning institutions in Pasir Gudang were closed due to the recent pollution there.
