Parliament passes bill to quicken assembly approval

The government has shortened the process to get approval for a peaceful assembly.
Parliament passed an amendment to the Peaceful Assembly Bill yesterday, slashing the notification period from organisers by half, from 10 to 5.
Police also have to respond to the notice within three days, instead of five.

TVET graduates could get higher-paying jobs than academics?
Don't worry about enrolling your children in TVET programmes because they might find it easier to get high-paying jobs, compared to academic graduates.
That's what the Human Resources Minister said, citing proof as seen in Australia, Germany and Singapore.
As such, M. Kulasegaran urged parents to give full support to their children to join TVET programmes.

MOH to study Pasir Gudang Myokymia case
The Health Ministry will study the actual cause of Myokymia suffered by a boy in Pasir Gudang.
It's believed he contracted the disease after breathing in noxious gas during the Sungai Kim Kim crisis back in March.
The Deputy Health Minister says there are many possibilities for Myokymia, including a brain tumour or other diseases.
