E-hailing drivers get 3-month extension to secure PSV license

The Transport Minister says his Ministry will take a soft approach, when enforcing the rule that requires e-hailing drivers to have a Public Service Vehicle license.

He says for the next three months, errant ehailing drivers will only receive warnings from authorities. 

Full enforcement, including fines will only be handed out after the 3-month period. 

Action taken against 3 illegal factories in Pasir Gudang

Authorities have raided 3 factories believed to be operating illegally in Pasir Gudang, Johor.

The state Environment Department said two of the factories were involved in processing waste and used items, while another was involved in metals. 

The raids came after several Pasir Gudang residents fell sick due to toxic air pollution. 

Kemas to open 50 more tabika transit this year

The Community Development Department, Kemas,  will open 50 Tabika Transit kindergartens nationwide this year.

These kindergartens, which operate from 1 to 5.30pm, will help care for kids whose parents have to work late.
