Selangor and Pahang record unhealthy API readings

Several areas in the Klang Valley, Negeri Sembilan, Penang and Sarawak have been hit by haze, due to raging forest fires in Sumatra and Kalimantan, Indonesia. 

Weather officials predicti that the haze will continue for about a week, and urge the public to avoid outdoor activities and open burning.

At last look, 2 areas in Peninsular Malaysia reported unhealthy air quality readings, ... Johan Setia in Klang, and Rompin Pahang. 

Men have mixed opinions about sex education

A new survey of urban Malaysian men revealed that a majority of them are in favour of sex education. 

However, they are split on where it should be taught.. 

The survey, by the Centre for Governance and Political Studies found that nearly 50 percent feel that it should chose parents, while 30 per cent chose schools.

Meanwhile, two thirds of respondents said that sex education will not promote sexual activity.

Our second giant panda cub has a name

The name of the second giant panda born in Malaysia has finally been revealed today as Yi Yi.

The Water, Land and Natural Resources Minister says the name meant 'friendship' in Mandarin and was chosen to commemorate the over four decades of Malaysia-China ties.
