Aug 16, 2019
The Election Court in Kota Kinabalu has declared former foreign affairs minister Datuk Seri Anifah Aman's GE 14 victory in the Kimanis parliamentary seat as null and void.
It found over 200 additional ballots had been improperly cast, affecting the election result.
The ruling means a by-election could be called for Kimanis.
But, the incumbent MP Anifah is expected to file an appeal against the decision.
Anifah won the Kimanis seat with a 156-vote majority.
