Cabinet to discuss Go-Jek in Malaysia today

Aug 21, 2019

The Cabinet will discuss a proposal to introduce motorcycle ride-hailing in Malaysia today.

Transport Minister Anthony Loke said he understands why the Youth and Sports Minister is championing the move, but it's not going to be an easy path.

"Saddiq's point of view is coming from the youth point of view in terms of job creation. Of course I'm more responsible for the safety aspect, operational aspect and so on. We are part of the Cabinet, we work together. His point of view will be taken into consideration but in terms of operations, or other aspects, we have to do further studies."

On Monday, Syed Saddiq said introducing Go-Jek to Malaysia will help young motorcyclists get a steady income.

Cops dismiss claims Nora Anne's family involved in her death

Saying that Nora Anne Quoirin's family was involved in her disappearance is libel.

The Negeri Sembilan police chief slammed the allegations made by a foreign child activist, adding a police report has been lodged.

The cops are also investigating several other social media claims made about the Irish teenager's tragic death.

Yesterday, a man pleaded not guilty to allegedly tweeting that an Orang Asli had raped and murdered Nora.

The teenager's body was found 10 days after she went missing in Seremban.

The bans will be in place until investigations into the controversial preacher are completed.

Zakir is accused of insulting the local Indian and Chinese communities during a recent speech in Kelantan.
