KLIA back to normal

Aug 25, 2019

Operations at KLIA are back to normal, following the recent disruptions at the airport.

A check by Bernama this morning showed passengers going about their business as usual, with smooth check-ins and movement of queues

Meanwhile the flight information display system looked to be working normally.

Despite this, Malaysia Airports Holdings says it's still closely monitoring the situation, as there are still some intermittent issues.

The KLIA's airport management system suffered a breakdown mid-last week, causing massive flight delays.

Meanwhile, the National Cyber Security Agency says the disruption was NOT caused by cyber attacks.

Sorry smokers, the govt will NOT delay the full enforcement of the smoking ban at restaurants and eateries.

The Health Ministry says starting January next year, this means that anyone caught lighting up at such premises will be fined.

Full enforcement was supposed to be implemented last month, but the grace period was extended to raise awareness about the dangers of smoking.

Nasa is investigating the first alleged crime that was committed in space.

According to the New York Times, an astronaut is accused of improperly accessing the bank account of her estranged spouse while she was on board the International Space Station.

The spouse found out about it and lodged an official complaint.

The astronaut denies that she did anything wrong, and is cooperating with authorities.
