Retire when you're older!

Sep 02, 2019

The government will consider a proposal to raise the mandatory age of retirement from 60 to 65.

The Human Resources Minister was responding to a suggestion put forward by MTUC.

The agency said the move will allow senior citizens to boost their retirement savings.

The MTUC also wants children to learn about human and workers' rights in school.

The Finance Minister has reportedly ordered LHDN to rescind its new rule, making it compulsory for NGOs to report the info of doners giving more than RM1,000 per year.

The taxman lowered the quantum from RM5,000 to RM1,000 after it found out some groups were abusing donations.

However, according to Sin Chew, Lim Guan Eng believes the sum is too low to be of much concern.
