17 areas in the country reported unhealthy air quality at 6pm today.
They are in the Klang Valley, Negeri Sembilan, Melaka, Johor, Perak, Penang and Sarawak
Meanwhile, Johan Setia in Klang and Rompin, Pahang reported 'very unhealthy' API readings of over 200.
Meanwhile, 400 schools in Sarawak that were ordered to close yesterday reopened this morning.
In addition, haze has been linked with a spike in conditions like asthma, and may even worsen the condition of those suffering from chronic disease.
75% of Malaysians favour social media ban during crisis

An international survey says 75% of Malaysians believe that social media should be temporarily banned in times of crisis, to stop the spread of fake news.
Only India ranked higher than Malaysia in support for such a ban.
Malaysia is also 3rd in the world, in terms of trusting the government to shut down social media platforms when need be.
This, after Sri Lanka's government temporarily blocked social media access in the immediate aftermath of the Easter terror attacks in April, while the Indian government took similar steps in Kashmir last month.
MACC to investigate selling of MyKad to Chinese nationals

The MACC has yet to receive an official complaint regarding claims that Chinese nationals are being given MyKads.
But, the anti-graft agency says it can initiate its own probe if it receives reliable information on the matter.
Earlier, the National Registration Department lodged a number police reports over the claim, which went viral on social media.
