Sep 22, 2019

The Education Ministry says it will involve ALL candidates nationwide, even if ony 1 area posts such API readings.
However, there a chance the govt won't need to reschedule the exams, as air quality across the country is expected to improve shortly.
According to the Met Dept, the monsoon ransition period is due to begin this coming week.
During this period, the region will see heavy rainfall and strong winds, especially in the evening and night.
At last look, nearly 40 areas nationwide reported unhealhty air quality nationwide.
No other places had very unhealthy or hazardous readings.

It's not a good idea to wear the same face mask for days, during the haze period.
According to the Health Ministry, reusing the same one for too long can lead to a buildup of germs inside the mask, and this puts people at risk of infection.
It says at the most, masks should be worn for between 4 to 6 hours, before being discarded.
