You could soon be taught how to turn trash into cash!

Oct 02, 2019

The Housing and Local Government Ministry has been running a pilot programme in Ampang, Selangor, teaching residents how to make money from their rubbish.

"We have teams teaching them how to go about separating their rubbish, and then where to sell their rubbish. So some of them also do some recycled products. But mostly we teach them to turn it to cash, sell it to the recyclers, and make money out of it."

Minister Zuraida Kamaruddin is hoping to form an SOP from the pilot programme and expand it to other residential areas by December.
