There could be last-minute changes in Budget 2020

The Prime Minister has urged the Finance Minister to consider slight changes to Budget 2020, just days before the scheduled tabling on Friday.
Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad says the budget's contents were debated in yesterday's Pakatan presidential council meeting, and there were differences in opinion.

Petrol Subsidy Programme already receives backlash
There are already complaints about the Petrol Subsidy Programme, just a day after it was announced.
Fomca says the subsidy of RM30 for four-wheeled vehicles, and RM12 for motorcycles every month was too low.
Only those registered under the Bantuan Sara Hidup, or BSH programme are eligible for the aid, which will be paid every four months.

Tengku Permaisuri Selangor disgusted by MPSJ's handling of stray dog
The Tengku Permaisuri of Selangor is upset over the rough handling of a stray dog by the Subang Jaya Municipal Council, as seen in a viral video.
She slammed the actions of the MPSJ employees as inhumane, and advised them to follow proper SOPs.
She also pointed out under the Animal Welfare Act, cruelty to animals carries a fine of up to RM100,000 and/or three-years' jail.
