Teen rapists on the rise
The number of juvenile rapists is on the rise, mainly because of easier access to pornographic material.
Asst Comm Choo Lily from the Bukit Aman Sexual, Women and Child Investigations Division told The Star that most of the porn that children and teens are exposed to comes from social media or messaging apps.
She is also concerned about the number of teens who don't realise it's an offence to have sex with a girl under the age of 16, even if it's consensual.
There have been 289 cases of juvenile rape so far this year.
