Pakatan Harapan Melaka ADUNs back Adly Zahari, amid "backdoor government" rumours

Oct 26, 2019

Fourteen Pakatan Harapan state lawmakers have pledged their support for Melaka Chief Minister Adly Zahari, amid speculation that a so called "backdoor government" is working on the sidelines, to destabilise the state government.

While the ADUNs didn't confirm the rumours, they insist that Adly continues to lead the state transparently, and is committed fulfilling Pakatan's election pledges.

Post-GE14, Pakatan formed the Malacca government with a simple majority of 15 seats in the 28-seat assembly.

A single defection from the ruling party will result in a hung assembly.
