IGP: Jho Low is not in UAE

Nov 01, 2019

The IGP has dismissed reports that Jho Low is now in the United Arab Emirates.

He claims that the UAE has very tight security at its entry points , and it doesn't make sense for a wanted criminal to easily enter the country.

Earlier reports claimed that the fugitive financier is currently in the UAE, while seeking political asylum elsewhere.

The Johor police chief says it's to help maintain a secure environment, as some 10 thousand political supporters are expected to gather at the nomination centre.

The Tanjung Piai by-election is likely to be a three-cornered fight between Pakatan Harapan, Barisan Nasional and Gerakan.
