Malaysia being used as terrorist transit point is nothing new

Nov 04, 2019

The government is aware that Malaysia is being used as a recruiting and transit point by terror groups.

The Home Minister said this after the US noted it in its Country Reports on Terrorism on the weekend.

Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin says the government has taken concrete steps to combat the issue, including working with other countries by sharing intelligence.

The Bukit Aman Counter Terrorism Unit is also very active in combating militant activity in the country.
