The menace of Basikal Lajak could be turned around for good!

The Youth and Sports Ministry wants to put the controversial activity of modifying bicycles into good use at the National Youth Skills Institute.

It says it wants to train those involved.

According to the Star, it explained that those who like modifiying bicycles can be taught welding and the necessary skills to put together a safe bike.

Meanwhile, those with a need for speed can be trained to participate in competitive races.

More girls in Malaysia are furthering their education

Malaysia is doing well, in terms of girls furthering their education. 

The enrolment rate of females in tertiary education, was 48% in 2018, compared to 38% for males. 

The Deputy Prime Minister says Malaysia is ranked one of the highest achieving countries in women's educational attainment, according to the latest Global Gender Gap Report. 

New timetable for KTM

KTMB says its KTM Komuter service will operate on a new time schedule effective next Saturday.

This, following upgrading works for the first and second phase of the Klang Valley Double Track project.
