Dec 17, 2019

Criminal charges against Goldman Sachs and its Asian entities over the 1MDB scandal, will be heard in the KL high court next week...

This is after a judge allowed the prosecution's application to transfer the cases from the Magistrate's Court today.

Investment bank Goldman Sachs and its 2 entities, as well as former banker Tim Leissner were charged with the issuance of 6.5 billion dollars in bonds to the Tun Razak Exchange and Bandar Malaysia projects under 1MDB.

The cold and rainy season will likely last until early February!

The weather has been cool over the past few days, dipping to around 22 degrees celcius in the Klang Valley last Sunday.

The Met Department says that's because of the ongoing winter monsoon, which also increases the risk of floods.

Meanwhile, the Johor MB says floods in the state are receeding, but warned residents to be ready for a 2nd wave of rising waters soon.

Weather authorities earlier warned of a 2nd wave of floods hitting next week, around the 25th of December.

Finland's Sanna Marin is the world's youngest PM at the age of 34, and has spoken out about growing up poor and working as a sales assistant before going to university.
