The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) has obtained what it said was evidence of a high-level conspiracy that allegedly implicates former Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak.

In a press conference earlier today, the anti-graft commission played recordings of 9 conversations, recorded between January and July 2016

They were allegedly between Datuk Seri Najib and several other individuals including Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor,  as well as former MACC chief commissioner Tan Sri Dzulkifli Ahmad and individuals from the Middle East.

MACC chief Latheefa Koya said the conversations were disturbing..

During the conference she said, "All these things are pretty scary because this is in the midst of a serious investigation of mega scandal of corruption that has taken the nation up for a few years, and here we are listening to the conversations... complete undermining of the institutions that are supposed to take care, and solve the problem and bring to justice'.

A school in Puchong that was asked to remove its Chinese New Year decorations, has put them up again.

This is in anticipation of a visit by government leaders, including the Deputy Prime Minister and the Deputy Education Minister.

The school was reportedly earlier asked to take the decorations down by a political party, which claimed the decoration was excessive and unconstitutional.

The Education Ministry is investigating the recent influenza A outbreak in schools.

A few schools in Penang, Selangor and several other states were ordered to close after some students were affected by the virus.

Meanwhile, Penang health officials say the infections should not be cause for alarm, but parents should remain vigilant anyway.
