Legal experts disagree with MACC's revelation
Jan 09, 2020
Legal experts disagree with the MACC's move, to reveal alleged conversations of Datuk Seri Najib Razak and others.
Lawyer Dinesh Muthal says the revelation is unfair to the suspect, especially with the ongoing trials...
He said, "subjudice here is the decription of the status of the matter, it means that the matter is still pending ,still in trial and the court has yet to make a decision, so releasing a piece of evidence in public when the trials is still ongoing, the defence for Datuk Seri Najib will obviously feel its subjudice, making comments that may influence the judge or something."
However, he believes that our judges are well-trained and won't be easily influenced by factors not raised in front of him or her during the trial.
Meanwhile, the MACC has confirmed that it has handed over the audio clips to the police.
