NUTP wants govt to add Influenza A to quarantine leave list for schools

The National Union of the Teaching Profession, NUTP wants the govt to include Influenza A in the list of diseases that requires quarantine leave.

This followed an outbreak reported in several schools, including more than 20 cases in Cyberjaya and Klang yesterday.

Meanwhile, two classes in a school in Penang, have been closed until next Saturday for clean-up works after 19 pupils were found to have been infected on Wednesday.

JPJ to investigate officers in viral video of assault

JPJ says it will carry out an immediate investigation into a viral video showing its officers assaulting a motorcyclist but did not reveal where the incident took place.

It adds that disciplinary action could be taken against the officers if they were found to have gone against the law.

E-Tunai disbursement from Jan15 to March 14

Malaysians can receive the 30 ringgit worth of e-Tunai in their respective eWallet accounts from next Wednesday to March 14th.

The Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs Ministry says this is to encourage people to make purchases without using cash.

Under Budget 2020, the govt allocated 450 million ringgit for the E-Tunai incentive programme that will benefit 15 million Malaysians.
