E-Tunai: Users spend RM10,000,000 on first day

Finance Minister, Lim Guan Eng says RM10,000,000 was spent by users on the first day of the e-Tunai Rakyat initiative. 

According to the Star, he says that as of 10:00 pm last night, 380,000 people had applied for the initiative via selected e-wallet service providers, and 320,000 of them have been approved. 

The RM30 e-Tunai Rakyat initiative began yesterday with Touch n Go eWallet, Boost, and GrabPay as service providers for the project. 

Malaysians aged 18 and above and who earns less than RM100,000 annually, will be eligible to receive RM30 via the selected e-wallet services.

Dengkil assemblyman, Adhif Syan Abdullah's fate will be decided tomorrow

The fate of Dengkil assemblyman, Adhif Syan Abdullah, who was detained by the police last Sunday, will be discussed in a Bersatu meeting tomorrow. 

The party's President, Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin says the meeting will be chaired by the Prime Minister, Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad, where a decision is expected to be made. 

Earlier, Tan Sri Muhyiddin confirmed that Adhif Syan was among the 17 arrested at a house party, where 16 of them tested positive for drugs. 

Parents can still use old child car seats, but action against manufacturers

The Transport Minister, Anthony Loke, says parents need not worry about harsh enforcement from authorities, over child restraint seats that don't meet specifications.

He says all child restraint seats sold in the market before enforcement started this year, can continue to be used. 

However, he says all such products sold in the market from January 1st onwards, must meet specifications, and if they don't, it's the child seat suppliers who will be taken to task.
