Barisan National wins Kimanis by-election

Datuk Mohamad Alamin has won the Kimanis by-election. 

The Barisan Nasional candidate took the parliamentary seat with a two thousand-plus majority over Parti Warisan Sabah's Datuk Karim Bujang.

Voter turnout was at just under 80 percent - higher than expected - and also the highest turnout for any of the 10 by-elections since GE14.

The government is prepared to bank in the RM30 e-Tunai payment into the beneficiaries' accounts...if there's a significant enough number of eligible recipients who dont have smartphones.

For now, though, that doesnt appear to be the case...with 1.7 million applications received as of noon yesterday.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle permitted to step back from British Royal role

Over in the UK, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been permitted by the Queen to step back from their roles as British royals, reportedly to take effect in the Spring of this year.
