Sarawak to impose 14 day quarantine on those who visit Singapore

The Sarawak government will impose a 14-day self-quarantine on individuals who have recently visited Singapore. 

The state's Disaster Management Committee says it's a preventive measure against the spread of the coronavirus

This, as Singapore reported 43 cases of the coronavirus, and it raised its DORSCON disease outbreak response system to its second-highest level. 

The UK declares the coronavirus outbreak as public health threat 

The UK has declared that the coronavirus outbreak as a serious and imminent threat to public health. 

This gives Britain additional powers to curb the spread of the virus. 

So far, there are 4 confirmed coronavirus cases in the UK. 

South Korea's "Parasite" makes Oscar history

South Korean movie, Parasite left this year's Academy Awards with 4 Oscars in tow, including Best Picture! 

It's the first foreign-language film to win the coveted prize. 

Parasite director Bong Joon-ho, speaking through an interpreter, says he hopes more films will break the language barrier in future awards... 

"I think we are all connected, so I think naturally we will come to a day when foreign language film or not, it doesn't really matter a foreign language film winning this won't be much of an issue later on, hopefully." 

Parasite also won awards for Best Original Screenplay, Best International Feature Film, and for Best Director.

Bong is the first Asian director to win the award since Ang Lee for "Life of Pi".
