COVID-19: 7 New Cases Reported In Malaysia

The country's total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases have now risen to 36.
This after the Health Ministry said another seven people have tested positive for the coronavirus.
14 are being treated at hospital while the other 22 have already been discharged.
Meanwhile, the health director-general has denied asking the public to avoid the Pantai and Bangsar areas due to COVID-19.
Contrary to social media rumours, he clarified he was actually praising a doctor working in Pantai, who voluntarily quarantined himself after coming into contact with a COVID patient.

Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi will not face contempt of court charges, over the postponement of his trial yesterday.
HW the KL High Court gave a general warning that any attempt to mislead the court will be punished.
This after Zahid Hamidi apologised over the confusion caused by his corruption trial postponement yesterday.
The UMNO chief's lawyers explained that there was a miscommunication between themselves and Zahid.

Adly Zahari has announced that he will not be Melaka's chief minister any longer.
He posted this on Facebook today, after his request to dissolve the state assembly was rejected yesterday.
Elsewhere, Perak's Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Ahmad Faisal Azumu has been summoned for an audience with the Perak Sultan, believed to be over the state govt.
Meanwhile, the Negeri Sembilan MB says its state govt remains stable, with support from all assemblymen.
