The US president was screened after coming into close contact with members of a foreign delegation who've since been infected.

Meanwhile, back home...

Sarikei Member of Parliament Wong Ling Biu has been admitted to hospital for suspected Covid-19.

The Sarawak Health Director says Wong is a ‘Person Under Investigation’ with his test results still not known at the time of writing.

More cases reported

41 new Covid-19 cases were reported yesterday...bringing the total number of infections in Malaysia to 238.

37 of the new cases were linked to the religious event at a Sri Petaling mosque two weeks ago.

This means a total of 77 cases in the country have linked to that particular event.

So far, just under five thousand participants have already been identified, with efforts underway to track down the rest...some of whom are reportedly reluctant to come forward and be screened for the coronavirus.

In related developments...

Business sectors affected by the Covid-19 outbreak will be given electricity bill discounts.

The Energy and Natural Resources Ministry says this is one of the measures to be implemented under the government's Economic Stimulus Package

Meanwhile, exports of face masks could be banned if there’s a serious shortage of local supply.

The Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs Ministry says this is something that’s being considered amid overwhelming demand for masks due to the coronavirus outbreak.
