MAEPS to be converted into COVID-19 facility

The Health Ministry is preparing for a POSSIBLE increase in COVID-19 cases, which could peak in April.
One of the measures includes converting the Malaysia Agro Exposition Park in Serdang (MAEPS) into a COVID-19 facility, with more than 3,000 beds.
The hall will reportedly house patients with coronavirus symptoms who are waiting for their test results.
The ministry is also evaluating the accuracy of new coronavirus test kits from South Korea...with an eye towards bringing in some 200 thousand sets.
Education Ministry reschedules major exams due to MCO
The Education Ministry has rescheduled several major examinations following the extension of the Movement Control Order, or MCO.
This year’s SPM paper has been postponed from October, and will instead begin in November.
However, the UPSR examination dates remain unchanged.
High risk areas to be disinfected to prevent COVID-19 spread
Starting March 30th, the Housing and Local Government Ministry will begin disinfecting high risk areas to prevent the spread of the coronavirus.
The Defence Ministry says this includes government offices, public spaces, and selected housing areas.
Meanwhile, the Defence Ministry says more Malaysians are now abiding by the Movement Control Order, with the compliance rate at 97%.
However, there are still some who are flouting the ruling, with more than 600 already arrested for going against the MCO.
