MCO extended to April 28th

The Movement Control Order, or MCO has been extended for another two weeks.
Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin says it is now due to end on April 28th.
Meanwhile, Tan Sri Muhyiddin says the government plans to reopen several economic sectors in stages.
A special cabinet committee will meet, to identify the sectors involved.
The Prime Minister adds that schools will remain closed until authorities are confident that the outbreak has been fully contained.
Malaysia's COVID-19 death toll rises to 70
Malaysia has reported 70 total COVID-19 deaths, after 3 more patients succumbed to the virus.
118 new infection cases were detected today, bringing our tally to 4,436.
222 people were released from hospital today, meaning the number of discharged patients outnumbered new cases for a third straight day.
69 are in ICU, while 40 require breathing assistance.
MCO RM1,000 fine could be raised
The government may raise the RM1,000 compound amount for those caught defying the MCO.
Defence Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob says this is to ensure that more people comply with the order.
Nearly 400 people were handed the compound yesterday.
