COVID-19: Major School Exams Either Cancelled or Postponed

An announcement on when schools will reopen will be made two weeks beforehand.
Education Minister Dr Mohd Radzi Md Jidi says it will follow the advice given by the Health Ministry and National Security Council.
Dr Mohd Radzi also announced that several major exams, including the SPM, will be postponed to next year.
Meanwhile, this year’s UPSR and PT3 examinations have been cancelled.

The number of COVID-19 patients released from hospital today, outnumbered new cases 2 to 1.
Health Director General Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah says 169 patients were discharged, compared to only 85 new cases.
We now have over 5 thousand total infections, but only half of them are considered active cases.
Meanwhile, Malaysia’s death toll is now at 83, after one more patient passed away.

Health Ministry has not found any conclusive evidence that disinfection chambers can help prevent the spread of COVID-19.
It says, the 20-30 second process is not effective, adding it does not kill the virus within the human body.
It adds, the chemicals used could cause damage to areas like the mouth, eyes and skin.
