Implementing the MCO was tough, but necessary

Implementing the Movement Control Order, or MCO was a tough decision for the government.
Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin, however, says it is necessary to ensure public safety, adding that he’s proud of how Malaysians have been handling this unprecedented situation.
Meanwhile, Tan Sri Muhyiddin also reaffirmed the government's commitment to helping SME’s facing the economic impact brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic, especially during the MCO period.
Government imposes 7th EMCO at Selayang Baru, Gombak
A 7th Enhanced Movement Control Order has been imposed at Selayang Baru, Gombak, until May 3rd.
Defence Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob says this is after taking into consideration the probability of transmissions linked to the Selayang Wholesale market.
Don't be complacent despite drop in COVID-19 cases
People living in COVID-19 free states have been advised not to be complacent, and to continue following the Movement Control Order.
Health Director General Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah says there've been signs that the public have started to take things lightly after a seeing a drop in infection cases.
He adds that letting our guard down now would put us at risk of a new wave of infections.
