MOH looking at best time to give frontliners break soon

30 new COVID-19 cases were detected today, compared to 55 yesterday.
The total number of cases now stands at 6,383 but only 1,700 of them are ACTIVE cases.
Health Director-General Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah says because of the continued drop in new cases, the Ministry is looking into giving its front-line staff a much-deserved break.
Meanwhile, the overall death toll is now at 106, after one more death was reported today.

SOCSO to pay for COVID-19 screenings for foreign workers
SOCSO will bear the cost of the compulsory COVID-19 screenings for foreign workers who contribute to the fund.
Defence Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob says around 60 percent of foreign workers are SOCSO contributors.
The government announced yesterday that all foreign workers must undergo the screenings, and the tests will begin in KL and Selangor.

Penang joins list of green states
Penang has become the latest state to have zero active Covid-19 cases.
According to latest figures, all its districts were marked as green zones yesterday.
Penang joins a list that currently comprises of Perlis, Perak, Kedah, Kelantan and Labuan.
